Romeo Romeo by Robin Kaye

every woman wants a man who is as good in the kitchen as he is in the bedroom...
Rosalie Ronaldi doesn't have a domestic bone in her body. All she cares about is her career, so she survives on take-out and dirty martinis, keeps her shoes under the dining room table, her bras on the shower curtain rod, and her clothes on the couch...
Nick Romeo is every woman's fantasy-tall, dark, handsome, rich, really good in bed, AND he loves to cook and clean...
He says he wants an independent woman, but when he meets Rosalie, all he wants to do is take care of her. Before too long, he's cleaned up her apartment, stocked her refrigerator, and adopted her dog...
So what's the problem? Just a little matter of mistaken identity, corporate theft, a hidden past and juvenile detention and one big nosy Italian family too close for comfort...
this is actually the first book but since i've already read her next book 'too hot to handle' i definitely recommend this book as well. it's just as is described above. her guy is too cute. and although we might think this is just fantasy, it doesn't happen in reality, i think otherwise, there are guys out there who are like this, helping out their spouses and all.
but what really touched me was that romeo here has his troubles as well and it shows both their feelings of what's happening, what they want and why or why not. and he's struggling too hehe so a really great and enjoyable read. enjoy^_^

King of Sword and Sky by C.L.Wilson

ONLY ONE ENEMY COULD DESTROY THEM. ONLY ONE LOVE COULD UNITE THEM. ONLY ONE POWER COULD LEAD THEIR PEOPLE TO VICTORY...TAIREN SOUL
the magical tairen were dying and none but the fey king's bride could save them. rain had defied the nobles of Celieria to claim her, battled demons and elden mages to wed her. now, with magic steel and scorching flame he would risk everything to protect his kingdom, help his truemate embrace her magic and forge an unbreakable bond that alone could save her soul.
i feel that this book is best read from the beginning. i did enjoy reading this but it was like maybe, many things had happened to where it got to in the beginning of the book. it was such an amazing feeling, reading this book. there was a majestic feel to it and was so magical. i've never really been much into fantasy, well this much fantasy anyway. but this book changed my view in an instant after reading a few pages. i'm definitely hoping to be able to find the sequel book. i found it earlier but my loan quota was full so was unable to borrow then. although this is the second book(i think) the romance between our two leads is still strong and sweet. they apparently went through a lot in the first book to finally be together and still there seems to be more problems to be conquered before a happy ever after can be reached. kudos to the author for letting us read such an amazing book. hope you enjoy.

Sweetbriar by Jude Deveraux

Linnet plunged into the Kentucky wilderness, leaving behind the remnants of her life in London. But a sudden, brutal attack on her wagon train wiped out her fellow travelers, and left her alone in a harsh land...at the mercy of a fierce Shawnee tribe.
When a handsome young brave claimed her, in perfect english, as his own, Linnet knew she was safe. Until the jealousy of his powerful chief forced them to flee on a hazardous journey that threatened both their lives and their very special love.
and it is a special love they have. both from different backgrounds but it's so sweet how they find and fall in love with each other. this is one of my favourites. hope you enjoy

The Lone Texan by Jodi Thomas

Three days after arriving in Galveston, newly widowed Sage McMurray is furious. She'd been gone from Texas long enough to forget what it takes to survive on the frontier and finds herself taken hostage in a robbery. Sage fears if the outlaws discovers who she is, she may never see Whispering Mountain again.
Her fears are about to come true when the outlaws decide to auction off their pretty captive to the highest bidder, and a tall stranger offers twice the higest bid.
Drummond Roak has grown up in the years since Sage left. He now makes his living as a gunfighter, but his love for her has never changed. While fighting to keep her alive, he is also determined to convince the Texan beauty that beneath his wild ways is a man worth loving...
such a wonderfully sweet story. well it's not really the right way to describe it as there's tons of action as well. but this book definitely gives me a feeling of being in Texas. well it gives me a texas feeling anyway with outlaws, horses and the weather and more. drummond is so sweet...well as sweet as a gunfighter can be. holding a torch for her for so long and she's his senior too...by 3 yrs anyway. hehe well hope you enjoy this book

Branded by Fire by Nalini Singh

Though DarkRiver Sentinel Mercy is feeling the pressure to mate, she savage resists when Riley Kincaid, the lieutenant from the SnowDancer pack, tries to possess her. The problem is not simply that he pushes her buttons; the problem is that he's a wolf, she's a cat and they're both used to being on top.
But when a brilliant changeling researcher is kidnapped from DarkRiver territory, Mercy and Riley must work together to track the young man-before his shadowy captors decide he's no longer useful. Along the way, the two dominants may find that submitting to one another uncovers not just a deadly conspiracy, but a passion so raw that it'll leave both of them branded by fire...
a very hot series with two of the most dominant characters from each pack hehe it is tough when you have two people who are both dominant in a relationship and both do not know how to give in. pride matters to both so it's interesting to see how these two settle their differences with each other. and we also see some older characters from the earlier books returning although they are all there in everybook anyway. i missed the book(s) that was before this one. it's dorian's story. i haven't found the book. anyway seems like there's a new story upcoming after this. the next sequel. wonder how it will be. hope you enjoy.

Mine to Possess by Nalini Singh

Clay Bennet is a powerful DarkRiver sentinel, but he grew up in the slums with his human mother, never knowing his changeling father. As a young boy without the bonds of Pack, he tried to stifle his animal nature. He failed...and committed the most extreme acts of violence, killing a man, and lost his best friend Talin, in the bloody aftermath. Everything good in him died the day he was told that she, too, was dead.
Talin McKade barely survived a childhood drenched in bloodshed and terror. Now a new nightmare stalks her-the street children she works to protect are disappearing and turning up dead. Determined to keep them safe, she unlocks the darkest secret in her heart and returns to ask the help of the strongest man she knows...
Clay lost Talin once. He will not let her go again and hungers to possess her with a clawing need born of the leopard within. As they race to save the innocent, Clay and Talin must face the violent truths of their past...or lose everything that ever mattered.
i definitely enjoyed this book as it has been really long since i last had a childhood love kind of story. and it was so sweet. for a while, i was kind of confused as to why both our leads felt that way and was frustrated by how long their misunderstanding would last. hahaha was really relieved when they made peace with each other. grins it's been said that nalini singh is a major new talent and i have to agree. her stories are wonderful.

Caressed by Ice by Nalini Singh

As an Arrow, an elite soldier in the Psy Council ranks, Judd Lauren was forced to do terrible things in the name of his people. Now he is a defector and his dark abilities have made him the most deadly of assassins-cold, pitiless, unfeeling. Until he meets Brenna...
Brenna Shane Kincaid was an innocent before she was abducted-and had her mind violated-by a serial killer. Her sense of evil runs so deep, she fears she could become a killer herself. Then the first dead body is found, victim of a familiar madness. Judd is her only hope, yet her sensual changeling side rebels against the inhuman side of his personality, even as desire explodes between them. Shocking and raw, their passion is a danger that threatens not only their hearts, but their very lives...
this is the third book, after visions of heat. judd is totally different from vaughn, the total opposite. and i think you can understand from the titles as well, how they're different. there's so much logic and emotion here and it's psychological as well, what brenna went through. imagining it is so tough. if that had happened to me, would i have survived? or would i be suicidal. there is still mystery here from before, which continues on to the next book as to who is really their secret ally and all. hope you enjoy.

Visions of Heat by Nalini Singh

Used to cold silence, Faith NightStar is suddenly being tormented by visions of blood and murder. A bad sign for anyone, but worse for Faith, an F-Psy with the highly sought after ability to predict the future. Then the visions show her something even more dangerous-aching need...exquisite pleasure. But so powerful is her sight, so fragile the state of her mind, that the very emotions she yearns to embrace could be the end of her.
Changeling Vaughn D'Angelo can take the form of either man or jaguar, but it is his animal side that is overwhelmingly drawn to Faith. The jaguar's instinct is to claim this woman it finds so utterly fascinating, and the man has no argument. But while Vaughn craves sensation and hungers to pleasure Faith in every way, desire is a danger that could snap the last threads of her sanity. And there are Psy who need Faith's sight for their own purposes. They must keep her silenced-and keep her from Vaughn.
this seems to be the second book in nalini singh's psy-changeling series. i never read the first one but this is great. there's so much strength in the characters and i'm always amazed at how all authors are able to put their imaginations down into words. many authors like christine feehan have praised her and i have to agree, her books that i've read so far are great. i'll be brining the sequels of this book next. hope you enjoy them.

Wild Rain by Christine Feehan

what has she done? with a new identity, a staged death and a chance to flee the treachery that stalks her, rachael has escaped from a faceless assassin. now, thousands of miles from home, under the lush canopy of the rain forest, she's found sanctuary.
where can she hide? in this world teeming with unusual creatures walks the most exotic of them all. his name is rio. a native of the forest imbued with a fierce prowess, he is something to be desired. possessed of secrets of his own, he is something to be feared.
whom can she trust? but as rachael's past looms as oppressively as the heat of the forest, and as rio unleashes the secret animal instincts that course through his blood, rachael fears that her isolated haven has become an inescapable hell...
once again, this is one of her master pieces among many others. the urgency, fear is described so well, we ourselves feel it. it's a great read. i had read this long ago, but i can still remember vividly more or less how the story went. it has action, mystery and basically raw power. i will definitely recommend it.

Shelter Mountain by Robin Carr

john 'preacher' middleton is about to close the bar when a young woman and her three year old son come in out of the wet october night. a marine who has seen his share of pain, preacher knows a crisis when he sees one-the woman is covered in bruises. he wants to protect them and he wants to punish whoever did this to her, but he knows immediately that this inclination to protect is something much more. paige lassiter has stirred up emotions in this gentle giant of a man-emotions that he has never allowed himself to feel.
but when paige's ex-husband turns up in virgin river, preacher knows his own future hangs in the balance. and if there's one thing the marines motto of semper fidelis-always faithful-has taught him, it's that some things are worth fighting for.
this is one sweet, and i mean really really sweet romance. i think out of the others that she has written in this series(i haven't read the first one though, just the sequel after this) this is like the sweetest. preacher just made me go awwww. sigh it's such a beautiful romance that robin has written. if you're looking for some sweet, touching romance, this is the one to read. it's really heartbreaking too, what paige has to endure. hope a woman doesn't have to go through that. i hope you enjoy this as much as i have enjoyed.

Light my Fire by Katie MacAlister

it's not easy being a demon lord, a guardian and a wyvern's mate all at once. luckily i just moved to london to study all things guardian with my mentor. a new start is exactly what i need after being betrayed (again!) by drake, wyvern of the green dragons. though i'm supposedly immortal, i'm not so sure my heart can take another beating.
but i'm still officially drake's mate-and my presence is required at a meeting of the green dragons. how i'm going to keep my distance from that fire-breathing hunk is beyond me. it doesn't help that several annoying attempts have been made on my life. or that i'm wanted by the entire otherworldly population of imps since jim, my doggie demon sidekick, accidentally ate their ruler. being an alpha dragon and all, drake is sure to get protective of me-which might not be a bad thing when war breaks out and all hell breaks loose...literally.
this i think is the third/last in the aisling grey series. it's defintely a good read. there's lots of witty dialogues, sexy alpha males:P, and it's downright hilarious at times. oh and jim the doggie is sooo cute. it's got everything we can imagine. from demons, to guardians to dragons. phew basically it's great. you might want to read from the first though i too started on the second. in fact, i haven't even read the first and i'm already finished the last0_0 hope you enjoy.

The Perfect Bride by Judith McNaught

it's late at night and i'm tired so i'll keep this a short one. it's been quite some time since i last read a historical romance novel and now, i'm enjoying it once again. this is such a sweet story with a naive and sweet heroine and a cynical and jaded hero. here's the synopsis as at the back.
a childhood trauma has left lady blanche harrington incapable of all emotion, least of all love. now circumstance demands she marry, and blance dreads choosing from her horde of fawing suitors. for one very eligible gentalman has not stepped forward...
a war hero and a recluse, rex de warenne has long admired lady blance. though fate and his own dark nature have robbed him of any hope for the kind of future such as a lady deserves, rex is determind to air and keep his feelings to himself. rex is determined to air her-and keeps his feelings to himself. but when their growing friend ship leads to a night of smoky shocking passion, blanche's newfound memories threaten their fragile love
ok i'm too tired to even understand what i'm writiing so i'm going to end it here.

Red Demon by Diedre Knight

this is the 3rd book in the gods of midnight series and it seems i didn't write about the earlier 2 prequels both of which i read. this is mainly about our immortal spartan warriors fight for humankind while battling their own desires. but anyway, i'm always amazed by the imagination and creativity and skills of everyone; all the authors whom i've read and not read. how they're able to keep a story going, i can't fathom at all. i lack the mentality to even finish a story, always giving up halfway sigh. but first, here's the synopsis as at the back of the book.
having recently assumed the power over life and death for the immortal spartan brotherhood, aristos petrakos still hasn't mastered his unpredictable abilities. now a medium brings him a message from the other side-a romantic message ari doesn't want to hear.
more than a century ago, the love of ari's immortal life, juliana tiades, drowned in the savannah river after she learned about ari's shape-shifting abilities. desperate to reveal the truth about her death, juliana makes a bargain with a djinn demon who offers to give her physical form. but as juliana and ari are reunited in passion, the debt must be paid-in souls and spirits.
one thing that i truly enjoyed about this book is that i'm able to learn more about greek mythology or at least the greek gods and some of their tales. not in detail of course, but enough to guess more or less what might have happened. also, despite it being a fantasy kind of genre, it also deals with reality, one example being a relationship between same sex couple. it's not focused in detail of course, since this book is about ari and juliana, but they have other relationships that are building up throughout the series and that is one of them. they have their own inner demons to battle but there's definitely reality in it as well. of course, the action and scorching passion here is a bonus. although living reality, i prefer all those happy ever after kind of books where i can escape for a while to dreamland hehehe hope you enjoy.

Crazy Sweet by Tara Janzen

This seems to be the last in the crazy series, although i'm not too sure. new relationships were introduced but i'm not sure if they're continued. but reading the book, it seems to have come to an end maybe and this was a good book and a great series. here's the synopsis as at the back.
during a secret mission gone bad, covert operator gillian pentycote ceased to exist. held captive by a madman, shot full of drugs that stole her memory, gillian survived. now with a new identity and nothing to lose, the woman who calls herself red dog has gone from bookish secretay to sizzling hot hired gun and she has one plan: to find the man who shattered her life and take him down for good.
special agent travis james has the same plan, except he has rules to follow-and using a gorgeous amnesiac as bait isn't in them. so travis must play a dangerous double game of his own. he knows red dog will do anything to lure the ultimate criminal to her side and exact revenge. but from central america to a colorado show down, travis has gotten his priorities straight. he'll kill the bad guy, but only if he can save the beauty and never ever let her go...
i fell for travis when i first read about him in the crazy series a few books back which i think was crazy kisses. he's such a sensitive guy. i immediately went aww . with that said, i definitely loved gillian pentycote more before she became red dog. sigh but all these reading sometimes makes me wonder. does this happen in reality too? hehe hope you enjoy

Crazy Love by Tara Janzen

this is one book i've been wanting to read ever since i started crazy wild. they've been showing bits and pieces of their relationship and it has been a teaser for me. here's the synopsis as at the back of the book.
government operative dylan hart has survived some of the riskiest missions known to man. but no nemesis could have prepared the special defense forces commander for the newest member of his team, skeeter bang. a street-smart, leather-clad heartbreaker, skeeter has been recruited to aid dylan's latest mission: steal a top secret file and bury it before all hell breaks loose.
teaming up with a man who may be the last bona fide defender of the free world is a risk skeeter's ready to take-until a black tie washington soiree erupts in a bucket-flying free-for-all. now skeeter's got danger on her trail and dylan arousing every bad boy fantasy she ever had. being in the wrong place at the wrong time is about to plunge one man and woman right into the sizzling line of fire...
when i first started this, it started off great: it was humorous, serious, basically it made my mouth split wider open like an idiot. when i came back to reality, i felt like an idiot for smiling like that; i'd have been mortified if i had been seen like that by others.
after finishing, i enjoyed it thoroughly but i didn't feel the 'bang' i was expecting to feel. i had expected more but since this was an undercover stealth mission, the action wasn't as much; well for an action fan like me anyway, although i definitely the banter that went on between them and the new relationship that was revealed between travis and gillian. my heart nearly stopped at a certain part of the book.
although my expectations were more for this book, (skeeter bang is really hot and smart and i'm a girl;P dylan hart is the boss of them, the brains) it was enjoyable and made me look forward to the next sequel which would be about travis and gillian. but this is for another time. hope you enjoy this.

Crazy Kisses by Tara Janzen

"soldier. hero. lover. he's so dangerous, he's off the rocket." haha that immediately grabbed by atention when i saw this book and wanted to read the synopsis. and it definitely lived up to it. this book has the action, romance and some humor in it. also, there's a sneak peek at the end of her another book-crazy love. (i'll be bringing this review next time) here's the synopsis as it is on the back of the book.
professional soldier kid chronopolous moves in stealth and shadow to take out the world's deadliest threats. now, after barely surviving a hair-raising mission in south america, the special defense forces agent comes home to panama city for some r & r...and finds a bikini bottom that can only belong to one woman.
nikki mckinney has never forgiven kid for vanishing from her life after the mind blowing passion they shared. now he's suddenly back on the planet, where she's rising to the top of the local art scene.but her safe, sheltered world is about to be rocked to its core. because there's a bounty on kid's head and his enemies don't care if they take him dead or alive. with dangerous people gunning for him, kid's got nikki running for cover...and right into his arms. keeping her safe is his latest mission. keeping their hands off each other is out of the question.
this was definitely a good read. there was a lot of action and it was ... hot hehe what else can i say. if you have ever read all my other reviews, you can see that they're all practically the same and the genres are more or less the same too. but i don't care for now. i'm loving this and when my preference does change in the near future, the books reviews will more or less let you know. hope you enjoy.

Crazy Wild by Tara Janzen

This is the 3rd book in the crazy book series. i have not read the first 2 books as i haven't found them, but i have found the others and enjoyed them immensely. here's the synopsis as at the back.
with her prim librarian looks, cordelia 'cody' stark doesn't look like a nuclear arms broker or the world's most dangerous woman, but nabbing her is special forces operative creed river's latest mission. that is, until a trio of thugs show up and he is forced to play hero...
armed with secrets that could ignite a global inferno, cody was already running out of places to hide. now a hotshot government agent has blown her cover. trusting the hero who just saved her life is not an option but resisting him is something else entirely. but when bullets start to fly, a man and a woman running out of time are gearing up for the wildest adventure of their lives...
reading this book made me cold; figuratively speaking. it's set in such cold areas; our hero and heroine are practically freezing to death and we see some realtionships starting to form as well. hope ou enjoy.

The Mage by Jean Johnson

finally, the last of the series of the Sons of Destiny. i had been waiting to read this for a long time and it's been worth it. well there wasn't as much action as i had hoped, but still it was a nice ending to the series. jean johnson definitely did a good job linking all the 8 books together and that's a feat, with so many things to link. also, she described the scenes very well, so vividly. i could practically imagine a small isolated island growing together as the book series progressed. i have not had a chance to read all the books but will do so if i manage to find them. anyway, there's the synopsis as at the back.
hope, morganen's foretold bride, has finally arrived on the island. she hasn't been telling the full truth about herself and the consequences will stretch further than even she anticipates. just as morg gets used to hope's revelations, new enemies arrive on the isle, seeking to steal away the brother's chance at creatingn a new nation. during the attack, an old foe resurfaces and strikes amid the confusion, kidnapping the final bride-to-be.
either morg will resue hope and help his family complete the prophecies of the seer draganna and the last duchess of nightfall, carving a new kingdom in the process...or their enemies will be free to slaughter them all...
hope you enjoy.

Hidden Currents by Christine Feehan

This is the last of the Drake Sisters novels. and it is one of the best in the series i personally feel. here's the synopsis and i'll tell you why i feel that way.
from afar, sheriff jackson deveau has always loved elle drake, the youngest telepath of seven sisters. after a long time away, she's finally returning to the small coastal village of sea haven. but someone has other plans for elle, someone who doesn't want her to make it back.
when elle fails to arrive home, her disappearance strikes fear in the hearts of everyone who loves her. now it's left to jackson to uncover the mystery of elle's vanishing and rescue her from an unseen danger. but sea haven is no longer safe for anyone, and it will take the powers of all the drake sisters and their men to survive the oncoming storm.
ever since i started reading the drake sisters novels although not in the correct order, i've been interested in elle as she was always mysterious in her sister's book and also, she was the strongest among her sisters. that's two reasons there.:P the third reason is that there seemed to be some chemistry between jackson and elle and i wanted to explore/see that. hehe the fourth reason is that this was an explosive, exciting and thrilling read. lastly, she brought out the feelings of the characters, their emotions, their pain forward so well, i felt them like it was mine.
whenever it got to more serious, mentally draining parts, i was wheezing practically at what they had to go through. this is one of the books that has made me feel this much. i mean all the books i've read have, but this was more emotional for me. it made me think that there are people who have actually had all this happen to them. well maybe not everything, but something as bad as these. i could only sympathise. it made me look at reality a little closer. well i hope you enjoy this book as much as i have.

Turbulent Sea by Christine Feehan

Well, this is the sixth in the Drake sisters novels. And it was one of my favourites, simply because our hero is the cool and silent but strong - real strong - type. Add in the psychically gifted to his list of talents and there we have one yummy hero. Hehe

Recently things have got me thinking. By just reading these novels, (well I don’t really borrow others anyway like general knowledge and all as I’m more interested in novels so far) am I just trying to escape from reality for even a little while? Or is it because it helps me to relax my mind and just enjoy the happy evers in books. But oh well, whichever it is, I’m definitely enjoying reading them right now. Here’s the synopsis for this as from the back of the book.

The star: joley drake was born with a legacy of unexpected magical gifts but it was the gift of singing that made her an overnight sensation-a rock-and-roll goddess trapped by fame, fortune and ambition. Heated by the flush of success, joley can have any man she wants. And there’s only one man who can really give her what she wants.

The bodyguard: ilya prakenskii, cool inscrutable, dangerously sexy and working in the shadows of his infamous reputation – that of a secret Russian hitman on the payroll of a notorious mobster. He’s the last man joley should get close to, yet when her life is in threatened on a tour, she has nowhere left to turn to. But in the seductive safety of ilya’s embrace, is joley really as secure as she imagines?

I love novels that especially have a bodyguard theme. Hehe and they fall in love and so on. I don’t know why, I just do. We also have a broader insight on a star’s life; how it is in general. There are seven sisters and all their books are linked. I haven’t read all but some I have and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed them. Hope you do to.

Dark Demon by Christine Feehan

myLot User ProfileAnother dark carpathian series by christine feehan, this one rocked for me too. so much action, power and romance all in one, loved it. i think this was prequel from some of the ones i had read and written about. it's surreal how christine manages to make all her characters so real. they each have their own story and at the same time, they are all linked. the synopsis is as followed from the book.
natalya shonski is a vampire hunter, descended from a revered line of carpathians known as dragonseekers. she hates and fears both vampires and carpathians alike and has spent her life fighting them.
carpathian vikirnoff van schreider is dangerously close to turning vampire when he discovers natalya and realises that she is his lifemate. but natalya is unlike any other carpathian he has known-dangerous in her own right, she refuses to let him fight her battles and she infuriates him with her cheerful disregard of his demeanour. but a sinister, mysterious power is after natalya and vikirnoff has to convince her not only to trust him with her heart, but with her life as well
i think this is one of my favourite books after dark symphony which is by christine feehan as well. she brings out the emotions very well and i can also practically see it like a movie in my head. it's fantastic. i personally enjoyed this book very much and hope you do too.

All Jacked Up by Penny McCall

This book rocked and I mean it literally. so much action from the beginning itself. the whole book was filled with so much action, witty remarks/dialogues that i thought to myself, i'd love it if a movie was made exactly like the book with the witty remarks. what i really loved was how the author managed to come up with such great dialogues. it made me laugh so much; also the expressions used were fantastic. the scenes described were so real i could practically imagine them in my head. and she describes the characters so well, i can practically see their expressions in my head. only thing is i can't get a clear face but i definitely can see their body postures and even the snorts that they do lol and it's her debut novel it seems. the synopsis is as it is on the book.
since jack mitchell barged into her life, librarian aubrey sullivan has been abducted at gunpoint, taken on a death-defying car chase and kissed within an inch of madness. she's starting to think that maybe she should try to shake this over-bearing guy off...
but aubrey doesn't realize she's ticked off the biggest drug lord in the western hemisphere. it seems that somewhere in her photographic memory is something he wants kept quiet and he's willing to kill to do it. and jack can't exactly go to the good guys just because, well suddenly they think he's a bad guy too. now jack needs aubrey to clear his name. if only she'd do what he says. they just might get out of this alive. that is if they can keep their hands off each other long enough to think straight...
well what more can i say. action junkies, this book is not to be missed. enjoy

Run For Your Life by Andrea Kane

it had been so long since i last read a book by this author that i had nearly forgotten about her. but reading this book made me remember why i was so into her once. it was just that i couldn't find any more of her books that i hadn't read, thus forgetting about her :P
when victoria kensington's sister audrey, vanishes, victoria is sure her abusive father is somehow connected. she does some investigating but reaches a dead end when help comes from an unexpected source, the lover she hasn't seen in 4 years.
zachary hamilton's investigation for the fbi has led him till where victoria was stumped in hers. when a surveillance tape reveals victoria, he knows he must contact his ex, no matter his feelings about her. together they must race to crack the mystery and rescue audrey even as the white hot electricity between them's recharging to a fever pitch.
this book has almost everything i could want for; action, mystery, romance and even some comic moments. i especially loved the feelings between the two of them. the author managed to bring our their feelings so well, it made me so engrossed that i hated to be disturbed. she also showed how they dealt with their problems. anyway hope you enjoy the book.

The Wolf by Jean Johnson

The second book in the novel of the sons of destiny, it was a book i borrowed after much deliberation. i prefer my heroes and heroines to be alone if possible, as in no relatives and what nots. if not, i get tempted to read the rest of the sequels/prequels and if i can't find them, it's frustrating especially when you're in the mood. anyway the synopsis for this is the same as from the back of the book.
eight brothers, born in 4 sets of twins, 2 years apart from each other. they fulfil the curse of 8 prophecy. to avoid tempting destiny, the brothers are exiled to nighfall isle, where women are forbidden. when a childhood friend seeks refuge among the brothers, it triggers a confrontation with their mysterious enemy.
alys arrives desperate and afraid but welcomed by wolfer, the second born brother. they've each harboured deep feelings for each othr but alys harbours a secret as well. it's her very own uncle who torments the exiled brothers, plaguing them with creatures, and who seeks to kill them to secure their ancestral inheritance for himself.
but confessing her uncle's plan to the brothers will put them at even greater risk, for their resistance against the evil mage has stirred his wrath. this time, alys fears her uncle's determined to exterminate the brothers once and for all-destroying the star-crossed lovers as well.
well it was exactly as i mentioned earlier. reading this book made me want for some more of the other sequels. i'm sure i mentione this before in my earlier posts as well but still, it's amazing how creative and imaginative authors are. to be able to think up such long stories and link them all together, kudos to them. hope you all enjoy this book.

Ecstasy:TheShadowdwellers by Jacquelyn Frank

This is most likely the sequel to the nightwalker series. I've written about them before.
Worlds couldn't keep them apart.
Among the shadowdwellers, trac holds power that some are willing to kill for. and one rival would have succeeded when he was saved by a beautiful, fragile human who healed him. by rights, he should hardly even register her existence within the realm of shadowscape, but he notices everything about her.
after a terrifying car crash, ashla townsend wakes up to find herself in an eerie and desolate new york. just when she's convinced she's all alone, she's confronted by a dark warrior who draws her deeper into a world she never knew existed. the bond between them is a mystery to both bu looking for answers will mean confronting long hidden secrets and uncovering a threat that could destroy everything trace holds precious.
personally, this was an ok book for me. i'm hoping to read books about some other characters in this book that attracted me but i'm not sure if they're out yet. oh well, i hope you enjoy this book. it helps to pass time.

Dark Rival by Brenda Joyce

this is actually the first or second book in the masters of time series if i'm not wrong. i've actually read some of the sequels already and so far, i'm not regretting borrowing any of them and wasting my time. it was time well spent. hehe
a golden man, he's called black royce-a battle hardened soldier of the gods. his vows are his life, until he is sent to new york city to protect a healer from those who would use her powers for themselves. the moment royce sees beautiful, fiesty allie monroe, he knows she will be his only weakness-and he is right.
allie monroe is more than an heiress. she is a healer, willing to do anything to save victims of the evil that lurks in the city at night. but alone, she can only do so much-until destiny sends her the darkest highlander of them all. then evil strikes and royce is destroyed before her very eyes. now allie will do anything to save royce-even if it means going back in time to a dark, dangerous world. confronting their enemies could cost not only their lives, but their love-for all eternity.
this was such a sweet read on top of it being really action packed which most of her books are, or those that i post here anyway. most are action packed romance hehe i would be willing to actually buy this book and add to my 'bookshelf' when i have one in the future. i won't mind reading it again in the future. hope you enjoy

Dark Possession by Christine Feehan

Another one of Christine Feehan's carpathian novels, this is a good read too like all others. I loved the synopsis enough to want to borrow this book immediately, so i hope you like it too. here's the synopsis exactly as is on the back.
Manolito De La Cruz knew he was dangerously close to turning into a vampire. The last thing he expected after being called back to his carpathian homeland by prince mikhail was to catch the scent of his destined lifemate in maryann delaney. maryann is human but knows all too well the aggressive instincts of carpathian males. and they're not exactly the kind of males she'd prefer to be bound for life.
a dedicated counsellor for battered women, maryann has a fulfulling life with no room for someone like manolito, born and bred in the carpathian mountains, a law unto himself. but when maryann agrees to go to south america to offer guidance to a brutalized young woman, she has no idea a trap awaits her in the sweltering thick of the jungle. she has been drawn there by manolito himself, who has seductive plans for the unaware, irresistibly human female...
christine feehan is really an amazing author, such vivid imagination, her stories really make me one with them. if only i was able to get all her other books, sigh. oh well, i hope you enjoy this book.

Simply Love by Catherine Anderson

This love story is so sweet. even the hardest heart can be softened by love. that's what the book says. and when reading it, i was swept along with the emotions, especially of our heroine. it made me frustrated at times when there were misunderstandings and happy when they were clarified.
Cassandra Zerek is a true innocent in a wild and dangerous place-but her indomitable spirit and gentle soul make her stronger than anyone suspects.
As the owner of a Colorado mining empire, luke taggart's wealth and position can buy him anything, yet he's grown bored of saloons, gambling and loose women. nothing soothes his inner yearning-until he spies cassandra, as fresh and pure as a spring morning and vows he will possess her. the radiant, charmingly naive young beauty seems blind to the depths of luke's desire or the lengths he is willing to go to seduce her. but the lady is wise with an unwavering faith in the magical powers of love. and she's determind to awaken the good man hiding in luke's tormented heart, for only one precious gift will truly win her: his deep, passionate and unsullied heart.
i would recommend this book especially if you're looking for something sweet and romantic.

Noah the Nightwalker by Jaquelyn Frank

Finally, here's the story about our demon king who has the element of fire. i like how the leads meet each other, through their dreams. here's the synopsis exactly as is on the back of the book.
She will take him beyond his wildest dreams. as demon king, noah is dedicated to protecting his kind from their human and nightwalker enemies. yet for six months, he has struggled with vivid dreams that threaten his very sanity. every night he's tormented by images of a woman both achingly real and tantalizingly beyong his grasp. and his bone-deep need leaves him no choice but to force her to leave the life she's known and enter a world beyong her imagining.
everyday, kestra risks her life in perilous missions that veer just shy of the law, but she instinctively knows that the imposingly sensual figure before her is a danger unlike any she's ever faced. kestra has sworn never to trust or need another man, but noah's lightest touch scorches her with fevered desire, branding her as his mate and binding them both to the terrifying truth. for within the ranks of their own people lies an adversary growing in number and power and nothing and no one will ever be safe again...
unfortunately, i was on a rush to finish this book because i was at the library and had to return it so i could borrow another book. and i didn't want to reborrow this book as i was nearing the end too so in my rush, i wasn't able to savour the end properly but overall, it definitely helped to pass my time and i did get to enjoy the book as well. the king is after all the king and it shows in the book, and it was amazing to find out kestra's powers. hope you enjoy the book too.

Damien the Nightwalkers by Jaquelyn Frank

Ok, i think this is the sequel to elijah the nightwalkers, which i have written about earlier. but in this case, our nightwalker is not a demon like elijah but a vampire. ooo right now, there's all the paranormal rage going on and it's bitten me too:P
Damien, the vampire prince, is among the most powerful nightwalkers in the world. he'd never loved, but she was irresistible. The war between human necromancers and nightwalkers has escalated and when the enemy kidnaps syreena, a lycanthrope princess,(elijah's sis-in-law btw) he follows and succeeds in rescuing her but is unprepared for the erotic longing she awakens in him.
Gifted with rare abilities, syreena grew up in closed settings and was forbidden to form attachments with anyone yet the connection between damien and her is intoxicating and impossible for either to resist. but claiming syreena as his mate could have repercussions for every nightwalker and leave enemies more dangerous than ever before.
After reading about her sister and elijah, i was even more curious to read about syreena as she was rarer than anyone so far. being paired with the vampire prince was like the icing on the top of the cake for me. hehehe loved the book and i hope you will as well.

Mystic Warrior by Patricia Rice

Another fantasy filled with magic novel, it definitely kept me wanting to continue reading without stopping. it was that good though it's been quite some time since i last read this. i was too lazy to write about it immediately and so am only writing about it now. i'll write the synopsis exactly as is written on the back of the book.
Lissandra Olympus, the daughter of Aelynn's late spiritual leader, is convinced that only renegade outcast Murdoch LeDroit can save her people. but murdoch refuses to return to those who exiled him years ago, as their fear of his extraordinary, uncontrollable psychic power is well founded. he also resists reigniting the combustible passion that has always existed between him and lissandra, for it would only expose her to his destructive forces.
but in a world where magic conspires to unite them, lissandra and murdoch cannot long deny their sexually charged energy. as they search for the long lost chalice of plenty, which is essential to aelynn's survival, lissandra begins to realize that it may be her healing skills that murdoch most needs...and his protectiveness that she most desires. perhaps together they can learn to focus his power until he becomes the perfect ruler of aelynn. but will lissandra consent to remain by his side, ever his co-ruler, his lover, his wife?
this was a great read for me even though i had not read its prequels. i hope those with similar passions for these genres, like me, will enjoy it. you won't regret it.

Dark Lover by Brenda Joyce

This is a masters of time series and book 3 of the rose trilogy. and again, i think i preferred the prequels although i have yet to read one more i think. but still it's enjoyable. well this is another book with highland warriors with great powers. it's getting late here and i'm sleepy so i'm quoting the synopsis right from the back of the book.
Ian Maclean's arrogance hides a terrible secret-for decades he was held prisoner by demons. not a day goes by that he isn't tormented by his darkest fears of powerlessness. now he is about to sell to the highest bidder a page he's stolen from the book of power-if one woman doesn't stop him.
Slayer Samantha Rose's latest mission is to recover the stolen page-and get payback from the only man who's ever rejected her. what she hasn't counted on is the raging attracting between them-or her growing realization of what maclean has survived. as the powers of the evil from this past gather, sam will do anything to help him-even if it means following him into time and facing his worst nightmares with him...
well if you have read the prequels before this, then you would have known that sam is a girl with attitude and it's proven here. you feel her pride and when she's embarassed, you feel that too. ian is...emo. i guess if that can even be described for heroesBP but he's emotionally scarred that's for sure and it'll take time for him to heal. anyway i hope you will enjoy this book too.

Dark Legend by Christine Feehan

This is another of the carpathian series. it seems i've been making a mistake by naming this genre as fantasy. well maybe not, but paranormal is more like it. learned it recently.
gabriel has awoken after being asleep for very long and the first thing he feels is an overwhelming hunger for blood. nearing darkness, he goes on a hunt for a prey but hears a voice calling to him, calming, sooting him, giving him strength to control this craving.
francesca is a healer who has been living among the humans for a long time. thought gabriel can only imagine how she feels like in his arms, he knows her taste will be addictive. yet he fears for her life and his soul if he gives in to his desire
hmm...i have to admit that i preferred the other dark series better. this was good too, but i guess i was hoping for a little more. but characters are really well done, and i was really surprised when i learnt about them. but truthfully and personally, i think this was not her best piece of work. but i still love her books. hope you guys will too.

Heart Quest by Robin D. Owens

Now this is the sequel to heart choice, the book i talked about in my earlier post of straif and mitchelle. this is illex and trif's story. trif is mitchelle's cousin. this was much better than the former i felt in my opinion. but it's only because of genres that i enjoy being included more here than in heart choice.
trif clover knows she has a heart mate and she is on a quest to find him; by even going from door-to-door with her charmkey.(this lets her find her heartmate by the way) but she has no idea that he has already found her. Guardsman Ilex Winterberry knows that trif is his heartmate but is afraid that he will only scare her away, what with him being twice her age and a short life ahead. he wants to be close to her, and she needs to be close to him. he faces his most difficult task yet as there's a killer stalking those with unstable flair psi power like trif's and he must reveal the truth of their destiny or else, leave trif in danger.
i guess it's because ilex is a guardsman,/policeman that there's so much action. there's suspense as well, this shows that the author is able to write different genres of books which is great. if not, i don't think i'd be reading a book with no romance. :P the next book that seems to be the sequel is heartmatch, a story about dufleur and saille. (the first is our heroine and the latter, our hero hehe) and dufleur happens to be the cousin of ilex. so i hope i'm able to find that book, it seems interesting from the sneak preview that i read. hope you guys enjoy

Heart Choice by Robin D. Owens

This book is a sequel of Heart Duel, a book that i talked about in an earlier post. this is straif and mitchella's story. the former was holm and lark's story. i was lucky enough to find the sequel and in fact, been even luckier to get the sequel for this one, which is heart quest. but that is for later
straif is the last of his line because of a genetic disorder. his whole family has died and so, he is driven to find a cure for this disease and to protect future generations of blackthorns from the disease. nothing else matters to him until he meets mitchella clover.
but mitchella is not a woman straif can build a family with for she is unable to bear children. due to this, he is unwilling to go after his feelings. mitchella knows that a family is founded on love and not just blood, but unless straif can accept this, they can't be together no matter how much they want to be.
i enjoyed this book though not as much as i did heart duel i think mainly because there wasn't much action here. but the feelings were more than enough. it moved my heart. this is a really good science fiction romance, one that made me wish, once again, for powers like theirs sigh hope you enjoy yourselves

Too Hot to Handle by Robin Kaye

This is the other book i was talking about in my earlier post, where the guy falls for the girl first, where the guy is crazy about her. sigh so sweet and this one is one of those books where you go aww. especially after you read the synopsis which i'm going to quote from the back of the book.
Dr Mike Flynn sure would love to have a woman to take care of...to dr mike, there's nothing like vacuuming or doing a few dishes to help a guy relax.
Annabelle Ronaldi would never cook if could order takeout. when they meet at her sister's wedding, mike is sure this is the woman he wants to take care of forever.while mike sets to work wooing annabelle, she becomes determined to sniff out the truth of the convoluted family secret that's going to turn both their lives upside down.
this is a really sweet one like i said earlier. our guy's head over heels for her and the story is wrote so brilliantly you feel the emotions as well. there wasn't any action but it still managed to keep my attention with the heartwarming characters. in fact, i was hoping that there'd be another sequel book for another of the characters in this book. oh well hope you enjoy this.

Heartduel by Robin Owens

Lately, i seem to be reading a series type of book. there's the dark series on carpathians, then there's the nightwalkers, and now there's the heart besides others. it would be great to get them all accordingly but since it's the library, we can't always get what we want.
Lark Collinson and Holm Holly are heartmates although only holm knows of this. But wooing and courting her is not going to be easy for Holm, for lark is a healer, who hates all fighting. But to holm, fighting is a way of life, it's in his genes basically. not only that, there's a long standing feud between their families and this has just exploded into even greater violence. their destiny has been revealed but will be ever be able to come together despite all the differences?
what actually got me interested was that our hero knew that she was the one for him. and it was really nice to know a guy falling for a gal first. although of course there are many other books like this one of while i finished reading recently and will write about next time hehehe. but this is the first book i've read from this author and i'm enjoying it immensely. i went to the library to return and borrow books again and i found 2 other books by this author which are the sequels to this book i think. so i'm gonna enjoy reading them as well. hope you guys like this book.

Deadly Love by Brenda Joyce

Deadly Love (Francesca Cahill Romance Novels)a book by one of my favourite authors. and again, this seems like a series too. deadly series, yes. but it was really enjoyable because of the humor at unexpected times.
francesca cahill sumbles on a ransom note while her parents are hosting a ball. she is determined to help in any way she can but helplessly falls in love with the city's newly appointed police commissioner, the powerful and enigmatic rick bragg. they begin searching for answers to a shocking crime until stunning truths are revealed.
i just couldn't help but fall in love with our heroine who's such a 'busybody' hehe she's so curious that the idiom 'curiosity killed the cat' seems to suit her at times. but at the same time, there is suspense, making us wreck our brains to try and figure out what exactly happened. but because this is the first in the deadly series, the relationship between rick and francesca is not confirmed although there are hints. and bright hints at that:P so because of that, i want to read the others too, provided i can managed to find them sigh. well hope you guys enjoy this

unfortunately no picture but you can click on the link if you are interested in the book.

Mind Game by Christine Feehan

Ghostwalker set (7 books): Shadow Game, Mind Game, Night Game, Conspiracy Game, Deadly Game, Predatory Game, and Murder Game (Volumes 1-7)This is another book that deals with supernatural and paranormal stuff. something like telepathy, telekinetic gifts and so on. and this is also a series, the ghostwalker series.
dahlia le blanc is isolated from other people due to her telekinetic gift. and for reasons unknown, she has become the target of deadly assassins. suddenly no place is safe and only one man can protect her. nicolas trevane-a dangerous warrior sent to track her down and protect her.
sorry this synopsis is so short as i read this quite some time ago too and i'm too lazy to copy the synopsis. but i enjoyed this book for the action that it has, the mystery and suspense. a good combination of what i like in a book. and it also helps that the romance is scorching hehe with steamy scenes:P well i'm too lazy to write more now. hope you enjoy this book too.

Oceans of Fire by Christine Feehan

well i've been really into supernatural and fantasy genres these days with romance of course. so it's no surprise that this is one as well. as i read this quite some time ago, i'm not sure as to how to write what it's about so i'm gonna follow the synopsis at the back of the book.
the third daughter in a magical bloodline, abigail drake was born with a mystical affinity for water and possess a particularly strong bond with dolphins. she has spent her entire life studying them, learning from them, and swimming among them in the waters off her hometown of sea haven.
however her calm is shattered when she witnesses a cold blooded murder on shore and finds herself fleeing for her life-right ito the arms of aleksandr volstov. an interpol agent on the trail of stolen russian antiquities, aleksandr is a relentless man who gets what he goes after-and the man who broke abigail's heart. but he isn't going to let the only woman he ever loved be placed in harm's way-or allow her to slip away from his embrace a second time.
the powers that these drake sisters have are so cool. i wish i had them for myself ehehehe and this is definitely action packed and linked with other books as this is a drake sisters novel.
usually, i try not to read books that are linked, i don't know why. but this book had synopsis of the other sisters' lives and their books and i was really tempted while reading abigail's book. each of the sisters had their own personality and i loved all of them although personally it would have been better if they were each different stories. but still, anyway, if you are in need for some magic and enchantment with some danger, then you might want to read this book. hope you enjoy it.

The Man Must Marry by Janet Chapman

Truthfully speaking, i had put off reading this until i had no more books left with me to read as i had actually not wanted to borrow this. i thought i had picked up a different titled book but when i came home, i found out that it was the wrong one. oh i was heartbroken then as i wasn't as interested in this book. but without any more books to read, i gave this a go and surprisingly i enjoyed it. maybe it was because the heroine was a little clutzy type??? i don't know, those types endear to me somehow too. hehe
Sam Sinclair's self made millionaire grandfather sent Willa Kent whom none of the three sinclair brothers had heard of as his proxy to an important meeting of his shipping company. Most people would think him mad but sam knew his grandfather too well. the latter had decided that one of his three grandsons should marry willa. but while trying to escape marriage, the two are captured by love.
with the romance, there was comedy in here. no action and suspense that i liked. but romance and comedy kept me hooked too. so i hope that you people enjoy this as well.

When I Fall in Love by Lynn Kurland

This was one of the sweetest book i've read in a long while. although there are not much action and suspense and mystery, the romance was enough for me. although if i encountered it in real life, i would have run away from it i guess. it was just too mushy. but for a story, i loved it. our hero was struck immediately by the heroine. awww
nicholas de piaget is your knight in shining armor. he is charming, rich, handsome, brave, honorable and the list goes on. basically, he's every girl's prince charming. but he is done with demoiselles more interested in his riches than him and he's resigned himself to the fact that he'll have to spend his life watching others in wedded bliss. until the day he stumbles upon a flame haired maiden in distress. honor demands that he return her hom-if only his heart would allow.
jennifer mckinnon is convinced that there are no more knights in shining armor, at least not in manhattan. a chance trip to england leaves her wondering if she will ever have a happy ever after. but little does she know that her knight in shining armor awaits her...eight hundred years in the past.:P
very very sweet although i believe i've mentioned it already. this is for all those with sentimental hearts, a romantic inside them and dreamers like me. i really love our hero here. hope you love him too.

Dark Symphony by Christine Feehan

Dark Series Collection of 6 Titles Including Dark Guardian, Dark Demon, Dark Magic, Dark Desire, Dark Symphony and Dark PrinceThis is definitely one of my favourite novels that i've read so far. it got me hooked the first moment i read its synopsis. it also helped that i was interested in reading about supernatural and fantasy genres then. i read this a few days ago and now as i'm writing about this, i feel like reading it again. to jog my memory on how the story went and all. the words used are powerful and it's amazing how the story flows so smoothly without any confusion at all. and here's the synopsis exactly as is written in the book. (i have to admit though that i'm a little biased as i loved these kinds of stories:P)
He was Carpathian, a species as old as time. he could shift shape and soar high, run with the wolves, yet without light to his darkness, he could so easily give in to the whispers of temptation, the call for power and turn wholly evil-to become the undead, as many of his kind had chosen to do. he travelled the world, hunting the vampire, seeking to maintain a balance of life in a world of bleak loneliness. and then he heard the music...
Blinded and scarred in a terrible accident, Antonietta Scarletti made music that thrilled the world with its beauty and passion. descended from a long line of physics, antonietta has learned to rely on her other senses to 'see' the world around her, but nothing could have prepared for Byron. he came to her, drawn by her music and became her secret obsession. others fear him, sensing that is dangerous-a predator-but for antonietta he is her ultimate fantasy, her dream lover. he woos her with kisses full of erotic allure, whispering that she is his light, his salvation. byron has waited an eternity for her, and he will let nothing stand between him and the woman born to be his lifemate...
it seems this book is a series of the carpathian novels. meaning that there are other books that are linked with this as well though i haven't found them yet. maybe i will next time. and well, i guess i don't have to say why i liked it so much as i'm sure reading my other posts, most would definitely know why i like it. but for the first timers, i enjoyed this book simply for the emotions the characters felt. they made me feel it too. the author was that good with this one. hehe and also, i'm a sucker for guys showing emotions or feelings. i like to hear from the hero's view point as well as the heroine's. well hope you enjoy this book as i've enjoyed.

Elijah: The Nightwalkers by Jacquelyn Frank

This is one of the nightwalker series. Unfortunately, i wasn't able to read from the start, the first series which i assume is jacob;the nightwalkers. but still, i enjoyed this one everybit. i'm amazed at the creativity that authors are able to come up with, and the tenacity to continue the book until it's completed. kudos to all the authors out there in the world.
He is the warrior captain-powerful, relentless, merciless. He has always won every battle he's taken on until the last one where is left for dead only to be discovered by one of his ex-arch enemies. And that too by Siena, the Lycanthrope Queen. After having found uneasy peace finally between the his and her people, elijah is faced with another battle. That of winning Siena's heart. As would be enemies become inseparable lovers, another threat with the power to destroy all, approaches.
Demons, lycanthropes and even vampires, all of these, i'd learned about only from mangas that i'd read. i'd never read about them in novels, fiction books till recently and this was one of them. The words used to describe the feelings are so powerfully written. i myself was enthralled with the beautiful words used, i found myself together with the characters too. sigh, it's wonderful to dream. And this book also gave a little excerpt on the other books, gideon,(he's an ancient medic, one of the oldest and most powerful) jacob(he's the enforcer who's able to track down his own kind and has to mete out punishment to demons gone 'haywire') and damien(he's a vampire prince droolssss) i couldn't help talking about them ehehe the excerpts at the end were enough to make me want to read them too, despite them being before elijah or after. sigh oh well, i hope you enjoy this fantasy, supernatural and romantic novel as i have.

Write for your own pleasure

A full time career writing is quite hard for me to imagine esp since i can't even think up stories that fast. There might be some who enjoys writing so much that they want to make a career of it. Voila, there you have all the famous authors. hhehe i really have to hand it to them to be able to think up of such excellent stories.

But while you enjoy writing when you have inspirations, when you don't have them, it'll be a drudgery. I can personally vouch for that ehehehe there are so many incomplete stories, or should i say, paragraphs??? they're not even one chapter. it's just the starting that i wrote and i left it hanging. but i didn't know how to continue after that. sigh

like now, there are many books that i've already read, but i'm just too lazy to write and nothing's forming in my head right now. i'm returning those books tomorrow, so it'll just be read but not written about. such a pity as they're all good books. if anyone has any tips they can share for this writer's block or can make writing interesting, then i'd definitely be interested.

Dark of the Moon by Susan Krinard

Dark of the Moon   [DARK OF MOON] [Mass Market Paperbound]
I just finished reading this book which is about vampires and as i was in the mood, i immediately came online to rave about it. it's a fiction novel though and i thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Dorian Black was known as an enforcer, who once kept warring vampire clans from one another's throats. But now outcast from his own kind, he hangs around back alleys of the city alone until the night that he saves Gwen Murphy, a reporter. Gwen will do anything to uncover the truth behind the articles her father was working on before he died-a mysterious cult of blood drinkers. Unaware of Dorian's involvement, she offers him kindness and friendship, which he tries to refuse. but to protect her, Dorian will soon be forced to do the unthinkable...

ok i admit that this summary or almost all my summaries is usually from the book itself. but hey, at least you know the story roughly as written on the real thing. well, this story is more angtsy that those i've read before. of course, they have their fair share of angst, but this somehow got to me. i think this is the first book i've read from susan krinard, or if i have before, then i've forgotten.

Their feelings are protrayed across really well. we know what they feel and this makes us root for them. makes us anxious and frustrated as to when they're finally going to acknowledge the feelings they have for each other. hmm... i guess this genre would go to fantasy wouldn't it? oh well, i hope you guys enjoy this book like i have.

High Noon by Nora Roberts

I finished this book in record time, for me personally anyway. i finished a book that had nearly 500 pages in one day0_0 hard to imagine isn't it. even i thought that i wouldn't be able to, but i was lucky that my hubby was not at home for that time. that meant i got to read a book the whole day. hehehe
When i read that there was a hostage negotiator for our heroine, i was already in love. a tough lady, but it also meant that whoever was lucky enough to fall for her, would have a lot of sweating to do hehehe and in this case, that would be duncan swift, our millionaire businessman. but this is just a vague description of him. read the book and try and figure out more of these two main people. our negotiator was not ready for a relationship, but our businessman had other ideas. and the story goes on and on. but i won't spoil it much. just know that there's tons of suspense, humor and really sweet and romantic moments that make you go "awww."
the sentence that was just described earlier is mainly the reason why i would recommend you the book. there are really hilarious moments and then there are moments when you sober up. for me, as i was able to read the book without much disruptions(except for my kids which is a lot-_-) i was really engrossed with it and so my heart was beating hard at danger, beating erraticially at steamy moments:P and swooning at sweet moments. there were other feelings too of course, but well, the characters were really built up well. the plot was amazing, it was totally unexpected, from what i usually read anyway. basically i enjoyed myself.
well i have actually read tons of books, just that i've been too lazy to write about it, so don't mind me. most have already been returned to the library. i wrote about this just because i just finished it right now and the story was fresh in my mind. anyway hope you all enjoy it.

Falling Awake by Jayne Ann Krentz

I read this book twice now. Not a lot of times i know but the synopsis was interesting so i borrowed it...again. i did get an inkling that i had read it before, but after reading a few pages, i confirmed it. but oh well, i still enjoyed it.
Isabel Wright is a dream interpreter who never has a lack for suitors. but she pines for her mysterious client number 2 whom she's never met or also given the nickname by her her 'dream man'. Ellis Cutler, aka, client number 2 suddenly materialises one day when she's down and from then on, her life changes.
This is one of those books that i won't get tired of despite re reading it many times, of course provided that it's after a long gap. the adjectives; descriptive words; used i don't have to mention how amazing they are. in fact, all the books that i've read are amazing. they certainly boost my vocabulary power. hehe
Also, it's a really suspense filled book with lots of twists. i'm sure many will enjoy. Hope you people enjoy like i did.

Dark Victory by Brenda Joyce

Well here i am finally with another of the books that i like. it's a little different than what i'm used to reading. there is a fantasy genre too which i seldom read in my books, for the reason that i can't seem to find any of course. i do read and enjoy fantasy so long as there is romance and this book has it.

Macleod's life is about revenge and vengeance. Tabitha's life is about protecting others. When a vision of a dark, bloody and burned highlander appears to her, she knows she has to help him and summons him. But what she doesn't expect is to be taken against her will to her violent time. and there, she must learn to fight for more than just his destiny. she must fight for her love.

When i said that Macleod's life was about vengeance, i really meant that. he's so revengeful that he'd even defy the gods and not listen to them even though he is related. hehe but what i really loved was how well the author described. into the first page and already, i could feel macleod's feelings. got my heart thumping for a while there, really felt for him then. it's because these novels that i read are so well written and described that i am addicted to them. oh yea i am addicted. anyway hope you enjoy reading, my babe is calling for attention now so sayonara
