Taking a Break

well after being gone for so long, i've come back to just inform those who do see this, (very few hehe) that i'm taking a break as i've just given birth to a little daughter. might be a year or so as i won't have time to go to the library. this is my last review for now.
the book is entitled 'Men are from Mars, women are from Venus, children are from Heaven.' i haven't finished the book yet but from what i have read so far, it is definitely helpful to parents. i found the author's points and views correct and am loving it so far. it's by John Gray. i'm sure most of you should know. he's the author of men are from mars, women are from venus. there are some others too by him. well have a good read.
i'm also planning on making another blog geared towards manga and anime reviews that i have already read. it will be more of my own opinion and reviews that's all so for those interested in knowing how the manga or anime is, you're welcome to drop by once i have it up. good day to all.

looking for used, rare or out of print books???

well i just had this problem. there was this book i really wanted to read but i couldn't even find it in the library!!! i was pissed to say the least of course. i have found one site though that actually has tons of books.
abebooks. com actually has books that are already out of print and the really famous books too. you can even sell books there. not only that, i found out that if you bought books from there, some participating booksellers actually sent them to you with the shipping for free.
i'm thinking of getting some and have put the link up if you guys are interested. it's not only storybooks they're specialised in, like i said earlier, it can be used too, even textbooks. best of luck to you guys in getting the books of your choice.

writing

some people are realllly great in writing. some are just average. some are weak. i guess i fall into the last category. nowadays, i'm having no inspiration at all on what to write about. it's hard to think up something by yourself. it's amazing how people can write so well when i read their articles or even poems.
i have joined tons of writing programs. of course i don't have to pay anything. i just write in articles or posts or opinions. let's hope that i will improve by then. the reason why i don't have any book reviews right now is that i haven't been borrowing any books lately. so i haven't been doing any reading at all. it's boring. but i'm spending time on internet and trying to earn some money. best of luck to everyone out there.

The whole truth by anthony robinson

well, i read this book when i was quite young actually. at that time, my head definitely swam since i had no idea what the book was about! i grew older(duhh) and i read it again. well it's not the type of book that i usually read but since i had it at hand...
anyway, leonard bradley is in love but not with his wife. he's a wealthy man and facing a divorce suit, his problems would definitely be solved if his wife would just disappear. then the police finds her dead body.
leonard has the motive, murder weapon is his and he has no alibi. it's more or less classified as first degree murder and his only defense is the truth: about his affair, secret life insurance policy on his late wife and their loveless marriage. but will it be enough to free him?
this story definitely grips you as he goes about trying to prove his innocence. does he succeed?? read it and find out!

Blue Dahlia by Nora Roberts

This is a trilogy and it is the first of the trilogy. It's from one of my favourite authors obviously hehe well i'll cut to the chase.
Young widow Stella Rothchild, along with her two little boys, had moved back to her roots and into her new life at Harper House. She's not intimidated by the house or its mistress, local legend Roz Harper. As she settles in comfortably, she develops friendship with the people there and finds herself fiercely attracted to ruggedly handsome landscaper Logan Kitridge.
But someone's not happy about the budding romance - the Harper Bride. As they try and uncover the truth, they find out that grief and rage have kept the bride's spirit alive even past her death. Now, she's willing to do anything to destroy the passion that Logan and Stella share.
I like this book as there's a bit of supernatural feel to it too which is not really found in Nora Robert's book. The descriptions used are wonderful as always. You feel that you're really a part of them and yet looking at them for an outsider's viewpoint. Great book and read.
