The Last of the Red Hot Vampires by Katie MacAlister

oohh...vampires. well, if you're into a supernatural, then you might be intereted in this one. this book has heaven, hell, and more.
A sceptic, Portia Hardia is all about logic and science until she travels to England with her best friend and accidentally summons an ethereal virtue who endows her the gift of weather control.
Now, Portia is literally walking around with a cloud over her head and a heart stoppingly handsome maniac trying to kidnap her. But Theondre North is no lunatic. He's the son of an angel who needs Portia's help to change his fate. But Portia's down to earth attitude frustrates beings from both heavenly and hellish realms and gets Theo turned into a vampire! At least he has Portia to satisfy his newfound hungers...and maybe save his soul as well.
Well doesn't it sound really great! It's really humorous with Portia trying to keep denying the gift with all kinds of excuses. All in all, definitely a good read for me.

Wishes in the Wind by Andrea Kane

This is a really sweet book by Andrea Kane. It's the first time i've read this kind of book by her though. I have read others of the same genre and love them.
Nicole Aldridge, daughter of famous jockey, whisks her father into hinding when he receives threatening letters. Desperate to keep both of them safe and fed, she dresses as a boy and answers an ad addressed to her father by the Marquis of Tyreham. As her father's 'protege', she wins the position of jockey, hired by the marquis to run the race of a lifetime.
Dustin Kingsley, Marquis of Tyreham, well known as a thoroughbred breeder and the ton's most sought after bachelor, is restless and empty - that is until he meets the beautiful stranger by the Thames. Determined to win her heart, he finds himself running headlong into an ominous mystery that threatens their future, hell bent on convincing her that he's the only man for her.
What I liked about this book is the male lead's frustrations and feelings towards the girl. hehe It's kinda hilarious to actually read the tall dark hero like this for once. It's a really sweet book and I find myself especially rooting for the guy whenever he has to meet the girl's father. hehehe Hope you enjoy this book like i did.

River Lady by Jude Deveraux

A book by one of my fav authors. This book shows the power of a woman on a coure for true love.
In an unexpected twist of fate, handsome plantation owner Wesley Stanford becomes a reluctant husband of poverty-stricken Leah Simmons, who has adored him from afar years ago. Determined to start life anew in Kentucky, Wesley discovers that the bride he hopes to abandon is passionate, proud and brave - she may be the woman he can't live without.
You really feel for Leah here. She tugs at your heart. The book will also make you feel frustrated for her. Hope you guys enjoy the book.

Hidden Secrets by Cait London

I am writing another review as i happen to have this book and i need to return it in a few days. In fact, i'll be writing a number of reviews immediately, and book fans will definitely be glad for this. This book has more of a supernatural feel to it.
Like everyone else, Marlo Malone's peaceful existence was shattered by terrible events that rocked the community: an unsolved murder, series of fatal accidents and the strange disappearance of a young boy from a car crash that killed his parents. But unlike everyone else, Marlo can't shake the feeling that these incidents are connected... and that the men in her life are somehow involved.
Her considerate boyfriend Keith is holding dark secrets and Spence, the missing boy's charismatic uncle is tormented and capable of anything. And a terrifying premonition is warning Marlo that unless she uncovers the truth, something horrible is about to happen...again.
This is a book that will keep you in suspense till the end. It makes you want to uncover the secrets too. meaning you want to be a detective. hehe all in all, a great book.

Out of Control by Shannon McKenna

I think this book has a prequel or sequel to it which i, unfortunately, haven't had the chance to read yet as i can't find in the libraries. and i rarely have the chance to go to libraries often. it's only occasionally.
P.I. Davy McCloud breaks his rule: never follow blind impulse when it comes to women; when he meets Margot Vetter who shows up to teach at the gym next door.
A fugitive, framed for murder she didn't commit, Margot has no one to turn to but Davy. But as they grow closer, she finds that holding back for this enigmatic man is impossible. Her past has finally caught up with her and life's about to get more complicated than it already is.
This book is really sexy. hehehe It's amusing to see Davy, who's like such a cynic turned to mush whenever he's near Margot. That's what i esp liked about this book.

Thunder At Dawn by Jill Gregory

i finished reading this book titled Thunder at Dawn and since i'm a romantic at heart, you can definitely be sure that i basically like all the books i'm reviewing. hehe
it's about a successful lawyer, Faith Barclay, who's being stalked. Work is starting to get to her though and to escape the big city and the menacing calls she's been receiving lately, she goes to her family's cabin in Thunder Creek where she encounters Zach MaCallum who walked out on her ten years ago.
Zach will never forget the times he spent with Faith and this time, is determined not to let her get away. But someone has tracked Faith to Thunder Creek and it's up to Zach to protect the woman he's never stopped loving.
What i really liked about this book is how the ending really surprised me.I was definitely expecting a different ending but once you read the book, you will see what i mean.
This is a great book to read esp if you're a romantic at heart like me.
my blogs weren't getting any visitors and i knew that it would be boring to read about one's life. so i did a little research on where i was going wrong and got a brief idea. let's hope now my hard work will pay off. sayonara
