This book made me think, ok there are people like that. It's never happened to us before but this is reality.
In this book, Deputy Annie Broussard is still haunted by the sight of a horribly mutilated body, where the killer walked free. The case is far from over, but if she wants to pursue the case, it means teaming up with Nick Fourcade, a man with many layers. It means suffering harassment from her own fellow cops. And it means getting close to a suspected killer. The closer she draws to the truth, the deadlier a wrong turning could become.
This book really gave me the creeps, what with all the horrid descriptions. It just means that the author is really good. I would definitely recommend this to one who can stomach some really lurid descriptions. This book is really great; intelligent.
