Crazy Love by Tara Janzen

this is one book i've been wanting to read ever since i started crazy wild. they've been showing bits and pieces of their relationship and it has been a teaser for me. here's the synopsis as at the back of the book.
government operative dylan hart has survived some of the riskiest missions known to man. but no nemesis could have prepared the special defense forces commander for the newest member of his team, skeeter bang. a street-smart, leather-clad heartbreaker, skeeter has been recruited to aid dylan's latest mission: steal a top secret file and bury it before all hell breaks loose.
teaming up with a man who may be the last bona fide defender of the free world is a risk skeeter's ready to take-until a black tie washington soiree erupts in a bucket-flying free-for-all. now skeeter's got danger on her trail and dylan arousing every bad boy fantasy she ever had. being in the wrong place at the wrong time is about to plunge one man and woman right into the sizzling line of fire...
when i first started this, it started off great: it was humorous, serious, basically it made my mouth split wider open like an idiot. when i came back to reality, i felt like an idiot for smiling like that; i'd have been mortified if i had been seen like that by others.
after finishing, i enjoyed it thoroughly but i didn't feel the 'bang' i was expecting to feel. i had expected more but since this was an undercover stealth mission, the action wasn't as much; well for an action fan like me anyway, although i definitely the banter that went on between them and the new relationship that was revealed between travis and gillian. my heart nearly stopped at a certain part of the book.
although my expectations were more for this book, (skeeter bang is really hot and smart and i'm a girl;P dylan hart is the boss of them, the brains) it was enjoyable and made me look forward to the next sequel which would be about travis and gillian. but this is for another time. hope you enjoy this.

Crazy Kisses by Tara Janzen

"soldier. hero. lover. he's so dangerous, he's off the rocket." haha that immediately grabbed by atention when i saw this book and wanted to read the synopsis. and it definitely lived up to it. this book has the action, romance and some humor in it. also, there's a sneak peek at the end of her another book-crazy love. (i'll be bringing this review next time) here's the synopsis as it is on the back of the book.
professional soldier kid chronopolous moves in stealth and shadow to take out the world's deadliest threats. now, after barely surviving a hair-raising mission in south america, the special defense forces agent comes home to panama city for some r & r...and finds a bikini bottom that can only belong to one woman.
nikki mckinney has never forgiven kid for vanishing from her life after the mind blowing passion they shared. now he's suddenly back on the planet, where she's rising to the top of the local art scene.but her safe, sheltered world is about to be rocked to its core. because there's a bounty on kid's head and his enemies don't care if they take him dead or alive. with dangerous people gunning for him, kid's got nikki running for cover...and right into his arms. keeping her safe is his latest mission. keeping their hands off each other is out of the question.
this was definitely a good read. there was a lot of action and it was ... hot hehe what else can i say. if you have ever read all my other reviews, you can see that they're all practically the same and the genres are more or less the same too. but i don't care for now. i'm loving this and when my preference does change in the near future, the books reviews will more or less let you know. hope you enjoy.

Crazy Wild by Tara Janzen

This is the 3rd book in the crazy book series. i have not read the first 2 books as i haven't found them, but i have found the others and enjoyed them immensely. here's the synopsis as at the back.
with her prim librarian looks, cordelia 'cody' stark doesn't look like a nuclear arms broker or the world's most dangerous woman, but nabbing her is special forces operative creed river's latest mission. that is, until a trio of thugs show up and he is forced to play hero...
armed with secrets that could ignite a global inferno, cody was already running out of places to hide. now a hotshot government agent has blown her cover. trusting the hero who just saved her life is not an option but resisting him is something else entirely. but when bullets start to fly, a man and a woman running out of time are gearing up for the wildest adventure of their lives...
reading this book made me cold; figuratively speaking. it's set in such cold areas; our hero and heroine are practically freezing to death and we see some realtionships starting to form as well. hope ou enjoy.

The Mage by Jean Johnson

finally, the last of the series of the Sons of Destiny. i had been waiting to read this for a long time and it's been worth it. well there wasn't as much action as i had hoped, but still it was a nice ending to the series. jean johnson definitely did a good job linking all the 8 books together and that's a feat, with so many things to link. also, she described the scenes very well, so vividly. i could practically imagine a small isolated island growing together as the book series progressed. i have not had a chance to read all the books but will do so if i manage to find them. anyway, there's the synopsis as at the back.
hope, morganen's foretold bride, has finally arrived on the island. she hasn't been telling the full truth about herself and the consequences will stretch further than even she anticipates. just as morg gets used to hope's revelations, new enemies arrive on the isle, seeking to steal away the brother's chance at creatingn a new nation. during the attack, an old foe resurfaces and strikes amid the confusion, kidnapping the final bride-to-be.
either morg will resue hope and help his family complete the prophecies of the seer draganna and the last duchess of nightfall, carving a new kingdom in the process...or their enemies will be free to slaughter them all...
hope you enjoy.

Hidden Currents by Christine Feehan

This is the last of the Drake Sisters novels. and it is one of the best in the series i personally feel. here's the synopsis and i'll tell you why i feel that way.
from afar, sheriff jackson deveau has always loved elle drake, the youngest telepath of seven sisters. after a long time away, she's finally returning to the small coastal village of sea haven. but someone has other plans for elle, someone who doesn't want her to make it back.
when elle fails to arrive home, her disappearance strikes fear in the hearts of everyone who loves her. now it's left to jackson to uncover the mystery of elle's vanishing and rescue her from an unseen danger. but sea haven is no longer safe for anyone, and it will take the powers of all the drake sisters and their men to survive the oncoming storm.
ever since i started reading the drake sisters novels although not in the correct order, i've been interested in elle as she was always mysterious in her sister's book and also, she was the strongest among her sisters. that's two reasons there.:P the third reason is that there seemed to be some chemistry between jackson and elle and i wanted to explore/see that. hehe the fourth reason is that this was an explosive, exciting and thrilling read. lastly, she brought out the feelings of the characters, their emotions, their pain forward so well, i felt them like it was mine.
whenever it got to more serious, mentally draining parts, i was wheezing practically at what they had to go through. this is one of the books that has made me feel this much. i mean all the books i've read have, but this was more emotional for me. it made me think that there are people who have actually had all this happen to them. well maybe not everything, but something as bad as these. i could only sympathise. it made me look at reality a little closer. well i hope you enjoy this book as much as i have.

Turbulent Sea by Christine Feehan

Well, this is the sixth in the Drake sisters novels. And it was one of my favourites, simply because our hero is the cool and silent but strong - real strong - type. Add in the psychically gifted to his list of talents and there we have one yummy hero. Hehe

Recently things have got me thinking. By just reading these novels, (well I don’t really borrow others anyway like general knowledge and all as I’m more interested in novels so far) am I just trying to escape from reality for even a little while? Or is it because it helps me to relax my mind and just enjoy the happy evers in books. But oh well, whichever it is, I’m definitely enjoying reading them right now. Here’s the synopsis for this as from the back of the book.

The star: joley drake was born with a legacy of unexpected magical gifts but it was the gift of singing that made her an overnight sensation-a rock-and-roll goddess trapped by fame, fortune and ambition. Heated by the flush of success, joley can have any man she wants. And there’s only one man who can really give her what she wants.

The bodyguard: ilya prakenskii, cool inscrutable, dangerously sexy and working in the shadows of his infamous reputation – that of a secret Russian hitman on the payroll of a notorious mobster. He’s the last man joley should get close to, yet when her life is in threatened on a tour, she has nowhere left to turn to. But in the seductive safety of ilya’s embrace, is joley really as secure as she imagines?

I love novels that especially have a bodyguard theme. Hehe and they fall in love and so on. I don’t know why, I just do. We also have a broader insight on a star’s life; how it is in general. There are seven sisters and all their books are linked. I haven’t read all but some I have and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed them. Hope you do to.

Dark Demon by Christine Feehan

myLot User ProfileAnother dark carpathian series by christine feehan, this one rocked for me too. so much action, power and romance all in one, loved it. i think this was prequel from some of the ones i had read and written about. it's surreal how christine manages to make all her characters so real. they each have their own story and at the same time, they are all linked. the synopsis is as followed from the book.
natalya shonski is a vampire hunter, descended from a revered line of carpathians known as dragonseekers. she hates and fears both vampires and carpathians alike and has spent her life fighting them.
carpathian vikirnoff van schreider is dangerously close to turning vampire when he discovers natalya and realises that she is his lifemate. but natalya is unlike any other carpathian he has known-dangerous in her own right, she refuses to let him fight her battles and she infuriates him with her cheerful disregard of his demeanour. but a sinister, mysterious power is after natalya and vikirnoff has to convince her not only to trust him with her heart, but with her life as well
i think this is one of my favourite books after dark symphony which is by christine feehan as well. she brings out the emotions very well and i can also practically see it like a movie in my head. it's fantastic. i personally enjoyed this book very much and hope you do too.
